The Peat Monster has a very light color to a yellow straw.  It resembeles a highland scotch.  This changes at first smell, the ocean and islay are loud and clear.  It is smokey and a rich peat nose.  The first sip shows a medicinal up front peat flavor, followed with a smokey middle and a carmel peat finish.  This is a unfiltered scotch.  This is most pleasurable watered down
