Dark in color to almost the darkest shade of red.  The nose is blackberry and red fruit, indicative of a fruit up front cabernet.  The tasting shows a complex cabernet fruit with a strong middle and a mellow very long tannin finish.  I wish more cabernets showed the complexity and restraint this wine does.  It was fine like a good pinot noir with big chewy middle like a good merlot.
